A few words about us...

From a small pizzeria in Katerini to a rising food production company, the story of Pieri Gusti is one of continuous evolution and culinary innovation.

Our mission is to offer products with high nutritional value and excellent taste, facilitating professionals and improving their daily lives, while we strive for perfection and strengthen our presence in the market, remaining true to family values!

1996.

The entrepreneurial activity of the Metaxas family began in 1996 with a delivery pizzeria in the center of Katerini, Pizza Metaxa, founded by then 23-year-old Giorgos Metaxas and his wife Liana.

2006.

The restless entrepreneurial spirit and the desire for continuous growth led, in 2006, to the creation of the company Pasta Metaxa: a modern small-scale factory producing fresh pasta and frozen pizza. Its mission was to “marry” a range of traditional Italian pasta with exceptional-quality Greek products such as feta cheese, extra virgin olive oil, manouri cheese, fresh herbs, and honey cultivated at the foothills of Mount Olympus—aiming to transform traditional Italian pasta into a unique culinary experience.

2017.

The year 2017 was a milestone for the family, as the small pizzeria moved to a new location and, under a new brand name Kitchen Pasta, was transformed into a modern Italian restaurant, focusing on top-quality raw materials and with the purpose of introducing the city’s public to fresh pasta and matured Italian pizza.

2023.

The philosophy of continuous evolution did not stop there. In 2023, the food production company Pieri Gusti was established, under whose umbrella Pasta Metaxa was rebranded to Pastalia. This move laid the foundations for a clearer market focus for each of the company’s brands and reflected the ambition to create new products, not only within the pasta sector but also in related and even entirely different fields.

2024.

Strategic collaborations with leading professionals in the industry—such as executive chefs, executive pastry chefs, and food technologists—allow us to continuously enrich our product range with new, innovative solutions. These experts contribute their expertise to the creation of high-quality products that combine modern culinary trends with authentic flavor and premium Greek raw materials.

We are delighted to announce the expansion of our range with new products such as ready-to-bake cookie dough, tiramisu cream, phyllo sheets for baklava, and more. Designed in collaboration with our partners, these products provide high-quality solutions that can stand on equal footing in international markets, serving both professionals and end consumers. Our mission is to offer products that combine high nutritional value with exceptional taste, providing solutions that support professionals and improve their everyday work. PieriGusti is certified based on the food safety management system ISO 22000:2018 and its highly skilled personnel controls every aspect of the production line. It chooses only high-quality raw materials, in order to ensure that the final products produced meet all the necessary quality requirements of the company.
